So here I am, minding my own business, check my email and find this:
Yes, I'm on the mailing list for Bloomies, and I'm quite comfortable with people knowing that. I just found this particular ad a bit odd. Maybe you will too.

What the...? I guess it's the jacket or something, but they are way off if they are trying to sell that look as military. Something about that jacket has a semblance of the 80's look to me, for some reason, does it for anyone else? That is an era of fashion that I'd really like to forget.

That reminds me of some United Colors of Bennetton add where this woman had various belts swung across her chest (a la bullet belts for machine guns) and a canteen on her hip that looked remarkedly like a gernade. They didn't actually come out and say "military" but it was still a strange fashion statement.
